Option 1 — Monthly, online
A 45-minute session each month over Teams or Zoom, with you and your team if useful.
Mentoring and business support · Six months minimum
Not a cursory MOT. A full engine rebuild.
In the automotive world we all understand why a car needs an annual MOT. But for a business – particularly an independent garage – an annual check-up falls well short of what’s actually needed to grow.
What I offer instead is a comprehensive overhaul. Every component of your garage business evaluated and improved for peak performance.
It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day and lose sight of the bigger picture. When was the last time you properly evaluated your efficiency and your profitability? Are there small adjustments that would make a significant difference?
How might the way you’re working now be holding back your customer numbers, your team’s productivity, or the efficiency of your engine room – your workshop?
Do you have a clear vision, and a plan to get there?
A vehicle can seem to run perfectly well and still be underperforming until somebody inspects it properly. Your business is no different.
What the Masterplan covers
Together we'll assess where you are now and chart a course to where you want to be. Even small adjustments, applied in the right place, can accelerate everything.
The first step · Two to three hours
The Masterplan starts with a visit – around two to three hours, going through the business properly. That’s my recommendation rather than a requirement; some owners would rather begin on a call.
Once we’ve identified the key issues and built a blueprint, I work with you over the following six months to put it into practice.
Four ways to work together · Minimum six-month contract
A 45-minute session each month over Teams or Zoom, with you and your team if useful.
The same 45-minute session, every other month.
A monthly session, plus three visits to your garage across the six months.
A visit to you every month. Not compulsory, and often not necessary.
The options are interchangeable - we can move between them as your needs change. All I ask is that you commit for at least twelve months, because that's what it takes to make a change that sticks.
I’m not a consultant who read a book about garages. I’ve owned and run them – the successes and the expensive mistakes both. That first-hand understanding of the aftersales sector is what lets me give you support that’s actually informed, and sympathetic to what the job is really like.
I understand that independent garage owners often feel alone at the top, with nobody to bounce ideas off. That’s where I come in.
All I can say is a big thank you. I feel like it's a new beginning and I also feel like I had lost my way but you have given me a map to making work again. The best thing I done to turn that corner was having your help and direction.
